What is a Same-Day Restoration?
Normally, placing a dental crown, inlay, or onlay requires multiple visits to the dentist, but with CEREC technology, our dentists can complete the procedure in just one visit.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a system that allows for same-day ceramic dental restoration fabrication. CEREC technology is used by our Ottawa dentists to place crowns, veneers, fillings, inlays, and onlays in just one appointment.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are porcelain caps that are fitted over teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns are used to attach bridges, cover implants, repair a cracked tooth, or help restore the natural appearance of a discoloured tooth.
Veneers
Veneers are thin, tooth-shaped pieces of porcelain that are custom-made and bonded to the front of your natural tooth to change the symmetry, shape, or colour of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings that are typically used on molars to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard filling.
Fillings
To repair a cavity or tooth damage, such as a crack, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings. These fillings should withstand moderate pressure from chewing stress and can be used on both front and back teeth.
